Winslow's Economic Development Department works to foster, enhance, and create economic resiliency for the community. The Economic Development department also focuses on providing local support to existing businesses to help them stay and grow in Winslow. Staff is also responsible for the attraction of new businesses and industries to create high quality jobs for our residents and generate impactful long-term investment and enhance the quality of life for our community.

Atlas Global Development has submitted their draft preliminary planned area development (PAD) to the City of Winslow for staff to begin the plan review process. This is the first draft of this planning document and staff will provide comments and recommendations to Atlas to ensure this development meets the needs and requirements of the city and characteristically feels like a Winslow project to our community.

This draft will likely undergo several modifications based on staff comments before it is presented by the Zoning Hearing Officer to Council during a public hearing.  The City Council will then have the opportunity to request additional alterations before the preliminary PAD is placed on the agenda for approval or denial.

The City will ensure that the most up to date preliminary PAD is available on our website for any residents that are interested in reviewing the document prior to the public meetings that will take place at a future date. All meetings pertaining to this development will be posted in advance in accordance with Arizona’s public meeting law.
