City of Winslow Press Release from Economic Development Director Jack Fitchett.
5 months ago, City of Winslow, AZ
City of Winslow Press Release. January 2, 2024. Winslow, AZ – The City of Winslow’s administration has been engaged with Atlas Development (Atlas) to explore a variety of economic and business development opportunities. The City has participated in several discussions regarding the sale of approximately 1200 acres south of town to Atlas, to help spur job creation and economic growth for our community. Several meetings have taken place however; the city has not finalized any deal or agreement with Atlas. Many aspects of any potential deal still need to be carefully reviewed and considered before a final agreement can be reached. No sale or master development agreement can occur without Council approval, ensuring the public will have several opportunities to be involved in this process and will have opportunities to voice their opinions on any proposed sale or project presented by Atlas. To date, all presentations related to Atlas, or their potential projects have been strictly informational, and no decisions have been made at this point in time related to a sale or the development of city owned land. The City of Winslow is excited to continue to explore opportunities with Atlas Development to help bring and create new high quality employment opportunities to the city. We look forward to our continued partnership and further collaboration to create a bright future for Winslow’s residents and businesses. For additional information or questions please contact Jack Fitchett, Economic Development Director at jfitchett@winslowaz.gov or at 928-589-7932.
